Awarded for exhibiting a distinguished understanding of key STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and/or Math) concepts.

Badge Criteria

To earn a Meridian Stories STEAM Badge, the student must earn a total score of 80% or higher on their digital storytelling submission, as based on the evaluation of two outside Mentors from the Education and Media professions. This score is well above the Meridian Stories norm. Specifically, the student has shown mastery in how at least two of the STEAM topics – science, technology, engineering, art, and math – overlap to create a new understanding of a topic that is relevant to a deepening understanding of our human sustenance and aesthetic, and our biological and technological environment.
