Awarded for exhibiting a distinguished understanding of key Storytelling concepts.

Badge Criteria

To earn a Meridian Stories Community Engagement Badge, the student must earn a total score of 80% or higher on their digital storytelling submission, as based on the evaluation of two outside Mentors from the Education and Media professions. This score is well above the Meridian Stories norm. Specifically, the student has shown mastery in the following areas:

• Command of personal voice and the capacity and confidence to share with the community at large;
• An understanding of the importance of community and the participants’ roles and responsibilities within it; and
• A desire to contribute to the communal dialogue with significant digital content.
